Jordan is a take-no-prisoners tech mogul who torments her long-suffering assistant, April, and the rest of her employees on a daily basis. She soon faces an unexpected threat to her personal life and career when she magically transforms into a 13-year-old version of herself right before a do-or-die presentation. Issa Rae stepped out in Atlanta to celebrate the release of her new big screen comedy Little, in theaters April 12.
The 34-year-old Insecure star/creator was all smiles posing with her co-star Marsai Martin and others at the Atlanta premiere at Regal Atlantic Station on Thursday.
Rae also took to the stage to introduce the movie to the crowd, along with Martin, co-star Regina Hall, producer Will Packer and director Tina Gordon.
The Insecure actress wore a full-length violet dress for her red carpet appearance on Thursday, which fell to her ankles.
She also wore gold earrings and black heels while holding a small clutch handbag.
Rae was also wearing a number of rings on her fingers as she posed with her castmates at the event.
Little follows Jordan (Regina Hall), a successful woman who gets transformed to her younger self (Marsai Martin) when she can’t handle the pressures of adulthood.
Rae portrays April, the overworked assistant of Jordan, who tries to help Jordan get back to her old self.
Martin pitched the original idea in 2014 when she was just 10 years old, and now at 14 years of age, she became the youngest person ever to get an executive producer credit on a major Hollywood production.
Rae stars in and co-created the hit series Insecure, which returns for its fourth season on HBO later in 2019.
She also stars in The Lovebirds, alongside Anna Camp and Kumail Nanjiani, which is slated for release on March 6, 2020.
The actress is currently filming The Photograph, alongside Chelsea Peretti, Lakeith Stanfield and Lil Rel Howrey, which will be released in 2020.
Other guests at the Atlanta premiere included Braxton Family Values star Trina Braxton and Von Scales.
Director Tina Gordon and producer Will Packer also posed on the red carpet during the event, along with Stranger Things star Caleb McLaughlin.
Other premiere guests include actress Erica Page and Dish Nation host Monyetta Shaw.
It was a big day for the Little cast Tuesday in New York City, as Issa Rae, Regina Hall and Marsai Martin promoted the film in a group interview with Build Series NYC.
There, 34-year-old actress/writer Issa looked elegant in a fire orange long-sleeved top with matching pants and gold heels and her dark locks pulled into an immaculate bun.
The fashionista was also snapped Tuesday in a red overcoat with a blue ensemble with textured pants and danglers; and in a creme sweater with matching slacks and gold heels appearing om Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Martin, 14, wore a blue floral dress with silver heels to BUILD, while Hall, 48, donned a sheer navy blue top with jeans and grey sandal heels.
At BUILD, Issa told a story that related to the film when it comes to run-ins with bullies who reappeared in their lives after they made it in show business.
